Don has been serving the Japanese people since 1992. First as an independent missionary, then in 2012 as a member with IMF. Don’s primary ministry is teaching English as a second language. He is currently teaching at two churches where the Gospel is freely given. The class in his home also has a 45-minute chapel time. The two community centers do not have a Bible time, but occasionally some study material will have a Christian theme.
One ministry that has been started is a cooking class. Don was a professional cook in his youth. This ministry was started in May 2012 and is held every other month. A Christian song is sung, but there are some restrictions in sharing the Gospel because it is at the community center. Don also has a vision of having an English coffee shop in his home. This is something that needs prayer.
