Why should I join IMF?
If you are called to and serving in a frontline Christian ministry and looking for support, a community with other ministers, and credentialing to officiate sacerdotal duties such as communion, baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc, IMF may be the right fit for you. We serve pastors, missionaries, chaplains, and para-church workers. Reach out to us so we can learn more about you and your ministry. We would love to hear from you!
Do I qualify for membership? Do I qualify for missionary membership and/or chaplain membership?
You would be eligible to apply in any capacity of ministry work. We have different classifications depending on the field or ministry type that would best suit you. For instance, to be eligible to be a chaplain you would either have to be working in a corporate, medical, or military position to fit within that classification, as these require extra certification compared to a general member.
To be an eligible missionary you would need to have a clearly defined mission field that you are working in as well as utilize our mission services as a sending agency. If are already a missionary but only require credentialing, then you would select a general membership level.
Application and renewal – how do I apply?
On our website, there is a Join Tab in the menu bar on the top right corner. This is where you will see the application process and be able to apply. Here is also a link to take you to that page. https://imfserves.org/join/
Why isn’t my application processing?
There could be a few things causing this. The first is that there is a required field that wasn’t completed. Make sure to load any previous work completed before continuing, otherwise the data will not populate and you may have to redo any prior work. Second, you may have the attachment files as the wrong file type. The IMF website can only process JPEG, PDF, or PNG files. If anything else is submitted it will not allow you to submit it. You can also email Imfmembership@imfserves.org the files and we can attach them to your application.
What if I have an issue with the application?

How do I upgrade my membership / credentials?
You can apply for an upgrade through your renewal email or through this link HERE.
Where can I find the status of my application?
There is a step chat under the Join tab that outlines this process. Occasionally it can take us longer to process applications depending on the response to references or background checks. Is IMF denominational?
IMF is non-denominational. We have members in multiple denominations and non-denominational settings. For more information on what we believe, visit our statement of faith document on our website.
How do I get my end of year tax statement?

Can IMF help me set up a retirement account?
Not directly. We work with Mutual of America. Members can reach out to Logan Kiltie at Mutual of America at Logan.Kiltie@mutualofamerica.com or 701-595-2208.
Does IMF fundraise for me?
IMF is not a fund-raising organization. We do not raise funds for our members.
Can IMF help set up a 501c3?
Yes. We have forms available for our members to help them set up their own 501c3. We also have examples of By-laws and other documents to help our members start ministries and churches.
Can I talk to a live person?
You can talk to a staff member at IMF during business hours. We are here at the office Monday thru Friday from 8:30-4:30 CST.
How do I donate through the website?
Log into www.imfserves.org
Go to the 3 bar lines in the upper right corner
Select “Give” or “Login”
Scroll down and select the “Donate” button
Enter your amount and select “Continue”
Fill out your credit card information and select “Donate Now”.
How do I donate to a missionary?
