Modification of Terms and Conditions


These Terms and Conditions may be modified by IMF at any time and from time to time; the date of the most recent changes or revisions will appear on this page. Your continued decision to use and access IMF’s website constitutes your acceptance of any changes or revisions to these Terms and Conditions. 


IMF reserves the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of IMF’s website at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. IMF has no obligation to update any information on its website. IMF reserves the right to modify or discontinue all or part of its website notice at any time. IMF is not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of IMF’s website or any feature or content on IMF’s website.


Use Restricted to Adults


IMF’s website is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for IMF’s website.


Intellectual Property Rights


Unless otherwise indicated, IMF’s website is IMF’s proprietary property and all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics on IMF’s website (collectively, the “Content”) and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the “Marks”) are owned or controlled by IMF or licensed to IMF, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws and various other intellectual property rights and unfair competition laws of the United States, international copyright laws, and international conventions. The Content and the Marks are provided on IMF’s website “AS IS” for your information and personal use only. Except as expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions of use, no part of IMF’s website and no Content or Marks may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose whatsoever, without our express prior written permission.


Provided that you are eligible to use IMF’s website, you are granted a limited license to access and use IMF’s website and to download or print a copy of any portion of the Content to which you have properly gained access solely for your personal, non-commercial use. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in and to IMF’s website, the Content and the Marks.

User Representations


By using IMF’s website, you represent and warrant that: (1) all registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete; (2) you will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update such registration information as necessary; (3) you have the legal capacity and you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions of use; (4) you are not under 18 years of age; (5) you will not access IMF’s website through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise; (6) you will not use IMF’s website for any illegal or unauthorized purpose; and (7) your use of IMF’s website will not violate any applicable law or regulation.


If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, you agree that IMF has the absolute right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of IMF’s website (or any portion thereof).


User Registration


You may be required to register with IMF’s website to access certain features or ministry services. You agree to keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and password. IMF reserves the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.


Prohibited Activities


You may not access or use IMF’s website for any purpose other than that for which we make IMF’s website available. IMF’s website may not be used in connection with any use inconsistent with IMF’s tax-exempt status or that is inconsistent with IMF’s religious beliefs and purposes, as determined by IMF in its sole discretion.


As a user of IMF’s website, you agree not to:

  • Systematically retrieve data or other Content from IMF’s website to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us.
  • Trick, defraud, or mislead us and other users, especially in any attempt to learn sensitive account information such as user passwords.
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of IMF’s website, including features that prevent or restrict the use or copying of any Content or enforce limitations on the use of IMF’s website and/or the Content contained therein.

  • Make improper use of our support services or submit false reports of abuse or misconduct.

  • Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) viruses, Trojan horses, or other material, including excessive use of capital letters and spamming (continuous posting of repetitive text), that interferes with any party’s uninterrupted use and enjoyment of IMF’s website or modifies, impairs, disrupts, alters, or interferes with the use, features, functions, operation, or maintenance of IMF’s website.
  • Engage in any automated use of the system, such as using scripts to send comments or messages, or using any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.
  • Delete the copyright or other proprietary rights notice from any Content.
  • Attempt to impersonate another user or person or use the username of another user.
  • Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) any material that acts as a passive or active information collection or transmission mechanism, including without limitation, clear graphics interchange formats (“gifs”), 1×1 pixels, web bugs, cookies, or other similar devices (sometimes referred to as “spyware” or “passive collection mechanisms” or “pcms”).
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on IMF’s website or the networks or services connected to IMF’s website.
  • Harass, annoy, intimidate, or threaten any of our employees or agents engaged in providing any portion of IMF’s website to you.
  • Attempt to bypass any measures of IMF’s website designed to prevent or restrict access to IMF’s website, or any portion of IMF’s website.
  • Copy or adapt IMF’s website’s software, including but not limited to Flash, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, or other code.
  • Except as permitted by applicable law, decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of IMF’s website.
  • Except as may be the result of standard search engine or Internet browser usage, use, launch, develop, or distribute any automated system, including without limitation, any spider, robot, cheat utility, scraper, or offline reader that accesses IMF’s website, or using or launching any unauthorized script or other software.
  • Use a buying agent or purchasing agent to make purchases on IMF’s website.
  • Make any unauthorized use of IMF’s website, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of users by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email, or creating user accounts by automated means or under false pretenses.
  • Use IMF’s website as part of any effort to compete with us or otherwise use IMF’s website and/or the Content for any revenue-generating endeavor or commercial enterprise.
  • Use IMF’s website to advertise or offer to sell goods and services.
  • Sell or otherwise transfer your profile.


User Generated Contributions


IMF’s website may invite you to provide information and/or data, chat, contribute to, or participate in blogs, message boards, online forums, and other functionality, and may provide you with the opportunity to create, submit, post, display, transmit, perform, publish, distribute, or broadcast content and materials to us or on IMF’s website, including but not limited to text, writings, video, audio, photographs, graphics, comments, suggestions, or personal information or other material (collectively, “Contributions”). Contributions may be viewable by other users of IMF’s website and through third-party websites. As such, any Contributions you transmit may be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. When you create or make available any Contributions, you thereby represent and warrant that:

  • The creation, distribution, transmission, public display, or performance, and the accessing, downloading, or copying of your Contributions do not and will not infringe the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or moral rights of any third party.
  • You are the creator and owner of or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, releases, and permissions to use and to authorize IMF and other users of IMF’s website to use your Contributions in any manner contemplated by IMF.
  • You have the written consent, release, and/or permission of each and every identifiable individual person in your Contributions to use the name or likeness of each and every such identifiable individual person to enable inclusion and use of your Contributions in any manner contemplated by IMF.
  • Your Contributions are not false, inaccurate, or misleading.
  • Your Contributions are not unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, pyramid schemes, chain letters, spam, mass mailings, or other forms of solicitation.
  • Your Contributions are not obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, violent, harassing, libelous, slanderous, contrary to the religious beliefs and practices of IMF, or otherwise objectionable (as determined by us).
  • Your Contributions do not ridicule, mock, disparage, intimidate, or abuse anyone.
  • Your Contributions are not used to harass or threaten (in the legal sense of those terms) any other person and to promote violence against a specific person or class of people.
  • Your Contributions do not violate any applicable law, regulation, or rule.
  • Your Contributions do not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party.
  • Your Contributions do not violate any applicable law concerning child pornography, or otherwise intended to protect the health or well-being of minors.
  • Your Contributions do not otherwise violate, or link to material that violates, any provision of these Terms and Conditions, or any applicable law or regulation.

Any use of IMF’s website in violation of the foregoing violates these Terms and Conditions and may result in, among other things, termination or suspension of your rights to use IMF’s website.


Contribution License

By posting your Contributions to any part of IMF’s website, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to us an unrestricted, unlimited, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free, fully-paid, worldwide right, and license to host, use, copy, reproduce, disclose, sell, resell, publish, broadcast, retitle, archive, store, cache, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, transmit, excerpt (in whole or in part), and distribute such Contributions (including, without limitation, your image and voice) for any purpose, commercial, advertising, or otherwise, and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such Contributions, and grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing. The use and distribution may occur in any media formats and through any media channels.


This license will apply to any form, media, or technology now known or hereafter developed, and includes our use of your name, company name, and franchise name, as applicable, and any of the trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and personal and commercial images you provide. You waive all moral rights in your Contributions, and you warrant that moral rights have not otherwise been asserted in your Contributions.


IMF does not assert any ownership over your Contributions. You retain full ownership of all of your Contributions and any intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights associated with your Contributions. IMF is not liable for any statements or representations in your Contributions provided by you in any area on IMF’s website. You are solely responsible for your Contributions to IMF’s website and you expressly agree to exonerate IMF from any and all responsibility and to refrain from any legal action against us regarding your Contributions.


IMF has the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, (1) to edit, redact, or otherwise change any Contributions; (2) to re-categorize any Contributions to place them in more appropriate locations on IMF’s website; and (3) to pre-screen or delete any Contributions at any time and for any reason, without notice. IMF has no obligation to monitor your Contributions.


Site Management


IMF reserves the right, but not the obligation, to: (1) monitor IMF’s website for violations of these Terms and Conditions and take any other actions consistent, in its sole discretion, with IMF’s religious beliefs and practices; (2) take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates the law or these Terms and Conditions, including without limitation, reporting such user to law enforcement authorities; (3) in our sole discretion and without limitation, refuse, restrict access to, limit the availability of, or disable (to the extent technologically feasible) any of your Contributions or any portion thereof; (4) in our sole discretion and without limitation, notice, or liability, to remove from IMF’s website or otherwise disable all files and content that are excessive in size or are in any way burdensome to our systems; and (5) otherwise manage IMF’s website in a manner designed to protect our rights and property and to facilitate the proper functioning of IMF’s website.


Limitation of Liability


The materials contained on IMF’s website are provided by IMF as a service to you for your use on an “AS IS, AS AVAILABLE” basis. You acknowledge that you are using the website at your own risk. IMF assumes no responsibility for error or omissions in these materials. IMF makes no commitment to update the information contained herein. IMF makes no, and expressly disclaims any and all, representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the website, including without limitation the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of text, graphics, links, products and services, and other items accessed from or via the website, or that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. No advice or information given by IMF or any other party on the website shall create any warranty or liability.

IMF’s website may from time to contain contains links to other sites operated by third parties, including but not limited to third party sites that may display IMF marks or materials (collectively “Third Party Sites”).  Such links are provided for the user’s convenience and serve no other purpose. IMF does not warrant or make any representation about the substance, quality, functionality, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or any other representation about any Third Party Site or its content. Any link to a Third Party Site does not constitute sponsorship, endorsement, approval, or responsibility by IMF for any Third Party Site. IMF makes no representation or warranty as to any products or services offered on any Third Party Site. The privacy policy and terms and conditions of any Third Party Site may differ from those governing IMF’s website. IMF’s website may contain testimonials by users of IMF’s ministry services or IMF’s website. These testimonials reflect the real-life experiences and opinions of such users. However, the experiences are personal to those particular users, and may not necessarily be representative of all users of our products and/or services. We do not claim, and you should not assume, that all users will have the same experiences. Your results and experiences may vary.  



If any provision or part of a provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision or part of the provision is deemed severable from these Terms and Conditions and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

You agree that any dispute or claim (including personal injury claims) related to your use of the International Ministerial Fellowship website shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. The exclusive forum for actions between the parties is the District Court of Minnesota sitting in Hennepin County, Minnesota. These Terms and Conditions also apply to anyone making a claim on your behalf.






IMF is a Christian organization and believes the Bible commands IMF to make every effort to live at peace and to resolve disputes with others (individuals and  entities) in private or within the Christian church (see Matthew 18:15-20; 1 Corinthians 6:1-8) and not in court of law or equity. Therefore, IMF requires that any claims or disputes arising from or related to the use of the IMF website and/or the related Terms and Conditions shall be settled by mediation and, if necessary, legally binding arbitration in accordance with the Mediation Procedures and/or Commercial Arbitration Rules used by and/or recommended by the American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon an arbitration decision may be entered in any court otherwise having jurisdiction. These methods shall be the sole remedy for any claim or dispute arising out of any and all uses of the IMF website. Therefore, all users of the IMF website expressly waive their right to file a lawsuit in any civil court against IMF involving any claim or dispute, except to enforce an arbitration decision. If any portion of this Dispute Resolution Clause is held to be unenforceable, the remainder shall continue to be enforceable.

This Privacy Statement and the separate of Terms and Conditions document applies to IMF’s website and governs data collection and usage. Users can visit our web site without revealing any personal information. If you choose to provide personal information while on our web site for such purposes as making a donation, becoming an IMF member and partaking in IMF member services, correspondence, registering for a newsletter or event, or some other ministry purpose, then it is our desire to inform you how we will use your personal information.

On some areas of our site, you may be prompted to provide information (for example, if you are making a donation or signing up for membership services) that personally identifies you (“Personal Information”).  The types of Personal Information we collect on our website may vary, but may include the following kinds of general information:

IMF recognizes the importance of protecting your information.  Our policy is to use this collected information for ministry purposes only, and we seek to maintain appropriate security measures to keep this information private and secure. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and to ensure the appropriate use of this information, we utilize physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.  If you make a payment (e.g., a donation or payment for a member related service) via credit card on our website, credit card transaction data is encrypted under applicable regulatory standards.

However, IMF cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to IMF, and you do so at your own risk. IMF has taken reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of personally identifiable information that you may provide. You should understand, however, that electronic transmissions via the internet are not necessarily secure from interception, and so IMF cannot absolutely guarantee the security or confidentiality of such transmissions.


In some cases, IMF contracts with companies and individuals (collectively “Agents”) to perform functions on our behalf. Examples may include maintaining databases and our website, processing donations, providing ministry services to IMF members, sending email newsletters or other communications to IMF donors or IMF members, and sending mail. These Agents use your information only to fulfill the task we have hired them to perform.


IMF may share data with trusted third parties that assist IMF with contacting individuals (e.g., email, postal mail, phone calls) or fulfilling requests for IMF’s ministry services.  We may share data with other trusted organizations that share IMF’s ministry goals and participate in cooperative database services where contact information is shared between participating groups.  Donors and other individuals may request to be excluded from this data sharing by contacting IMF at the contact address provided below.

IMF and IMF’s trusted third parties may share anonymous portions of user information collected on its website with one another. Such information may be used to link to and issue anonymous cookies containing demographic or intent-based data for online behavioral advertising purposes. Some sections of IMF’s website may use “cookies” to store user information. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not generally linked to personally identifiable information.


IMF’s website contains links to other websites. Please be aware that IMF is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy policy applies solely to the website and practices of IMF.


IMF’s website is not intended for users under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to or through IMF’s site. IMF does not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18. Purposes of processing and legal basis for processing: IMF processes personal information in various ways depending upon your use of IMF’s ministry services (e.g., as an IMF member or as an IMF donor). Transfers: Personal information IMF collects may be transferred to, and stored and processed in, the United States or any other country in which IMF or our affiliates or processors maintain facilities. IMF seeks to ensure that transfers of personal data to a country or an international organization outside the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland are subject to appropriate safeguards.

Your rights: Although IMF is a United States nonprofit organization, you may be entitled to certain rights under the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act 2018, Section 2 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, or Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation with respect to the processing of your personal data, which include the right to access and rectify and to request erasure of personal data. In order to verify your identity, we may require you to provide us with personal information prior to accessing any records containing information about you. IMF is a United States not for profit organization and is not seeking to engage in any commercial activity governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. If you believe that any of your interactions with IMF are subject to PIPEDA, please contact us at the information provided below.


IMF is a not for profit exempted from the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (California’s “Shine the Light” law) permits users of our site that are California residents and who provide personal information in obtaining products and services for personal, family, or household use to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. If applicable, this information would include the categories of personal information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared your personal information with for the immediately prior calendar year. IMF does not currently meet the jurisdictional requirements of the Colorado Data Privacy Act (i.e., IMF does not control or process “personal data” of at least 100,000 Colorado residents per calendar year; or derive revenue from the “sale” of personal data of Colorado residents and control or process the personal data of at least 25,000 residents), and therefore is a nonprofit exempt from that act’s requirements.



IMF is a nonprofit organization exempt from the requirements of the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act.



IMF makes no warranties or representations of any kind concerning the accuracy or suitability of the information contained on its website for any purpose. IMF makes no warranties or representations of any kind that the services provided by this website will be uninterrupted, error-free or that IMF’s website or the server that hosts its website are free from viruses or other forms of harmful computer code. Under no circumstances shall IMF, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, or agents be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages resulting from the use of IMF’s website.
